Fry Fanatics, Assemble! The Top snack Fries That Will Rock Your World (and Dip it!)
Ingredients:
2-3 russets potatoes, vegetable oil for frying, seasoning like corn flour, salt, red chili powder, chat masala, fresh coriander for garnishing.
Step 1: Cutting the potatoesPeel potatoes after washing. Cut them into even sticks about 1/2 inch thick.
Step 2: Soaking the potatoesFor crispy fries, soak them into cold water for half an hour for more crispiness. Then rinse them with cold water & pat dry with clean kitchen towel.
Step 3: Apply seasoning to potatoesOnce the potatoes soaked, add above seasoning and mix them well.
Step 4: Heat the oilHeat enough oil in a deep fryer to 300⁰ F. Add a small piece of potato to check the oil temperature. If it sizzles & float to the surface, the oil is heat enough.
Step 5: Fry the potatoes
Fry potatoes in batches for 3-5 minutes or until slightly tender. Remove the fries with slotted spoon and drain them on paper towel-lined plate.
Step 6: Again fry the potatoesRepeat the frying process for the par-cooked potatoes for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy
Step 7: Season & serveDrain the fries on the paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. You can sprinkle optional seasoning like garlic powder, paprika etc. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mayonnaise, or gravy.
Step 8: Additional tipsHeat enough oil for crispiness. Choose oil according to your taste for frying. Baking and air-frying is healthier option.
